#NYAGATARE CITY BLUE EPIC HOTEL AWAITS YOUR VISIT
(Posted 09th May 2018)
Travelers from Uganda to Rwanda via Mirama Hill – where more recently a one stop state of the art border post between the two East African partner states was opened – will find a new hotel at the town of Nyagatare with all facilities a weary traveler expects to find.
Managed by City Blue Hotels – a management company with two properties in Kigali, one in Kampala and one more recently opened in Mombasa under their brand – is the hotel owned by local government, RSSB, other public entities and private investors.
Comprising some 76 rooms and suites does the hotel also offer two restaurants, conferencing facilities, a pool and a gym, ticking many boxes for travelers keen to find a good hotel at reasonable rates along their way. Free WiFi, a safety deposit box in the room and bottled drinking water are standard for hotel guests, as is free secured parking for their vehicles.
Located not too far from Akagera National Park, the one and only savannah park in Rwanda featuring the big five from the animal kingdom, can the hotel serve as a spring board for safari excursions into the park or simply as a stopover enroute to the capital Kigali.
Notably is a sister hotel under construction at the town of Cyangugu at the southern end of Lake Kivu, located between Kamembe airport and the town itself. Due to open in late 2018 is a similar ownership consortium driving the construction and City Blue has already been selected as the management company, when the new hotel will open its doors.
Cyangugu is the gateway into Nyungwe Forest National Park and start of the 224 km long Congo – Nile Trail, a hiking and cycling route along the shores of Lake Kivu eventually ending at the town of Gisenyi. Expect a further update on this property closer to the time of opening.
