AMADEUS EAST AFRICA WELCOMES KAINEMBABAZI SABITI TO THE NAIROBI TEAM
(Posted 29th April 2015)
Time does fly as it seems like a much shorter time ago than eight years, when Kainembabazi Sabiti was appointed to head the Amadeus office in Kampala with additional responsibilities for other countries in the region like Rwanda and Burundi. It was largely due to her winning ways that Amadeus is today the leading CRS in this part of the East African region after taking on the initially dominant market leader Galileo and progressively moving competitive hurdles out of the way.
Amadeus has now announced that she will, effective early May, move to their Nairobi based regional headquarters in a new capacity as brand and communications manager from where she will coordinate marketing and corporate communications activities for the region.
Kaine as she is known to her many friends, is a former Skal Kampala Chapter president and held previous appointments with British Airways, from where she joined Amadeus in 2007.
No successor has been selected as yet for Kaine to take over the Uganda office but it is understood that Amadeus will shortly make an announcement when the recruitment process has been completed.
No doubt will Kampala’s loss be Nairobi’s gain and it is all the best from us all in Uganda to Kaine in her new role.
