DATES FOR 7TH & 2024 AFRICA BUSINESS TOURISM & MICE MASTERCLASS ANNOUNCED
The organisers of Africa Business Tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) Masterclass (ABTMM) have announced that the 7th and 2024 edition of the Pan-African MICE/ Business Tourism Capacity Development and Continuing Professional Development Masterclass will take place on 16 and 17 July 2024 at BDO Offices, Wanderers Office Park, 52 Corlett Dr, Illovo, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Held annually in collaboration with BDO South Africa and a number of Industry Partners including but not limited University of South Africa, SAACI, South African Tourism, SITE Africa and more, this year’s programme will feature expert and insightful presentations, interactive panel sessions and deep dives into industry-critical topics, while offering professional development, industry insights, networking and sales opportunities for all.
FINALISTS OF THE 2024 AFRICA YOUTH IN TOURISM INNOVATION CHALLENGE ANNOUNCE
Africa Tourism Partners is thrilled to announce the top five finalists for the 6th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge 2024. The Challenge opened on the 01st of November 2023 for the youth to submit their projects. The Challenge closed on the 01st of March 2024 and attracted over 154 entries from innovators across Africa.
As part of the process, the projects were submitted to the judges for adjudication to determine the qualifying projects. Devin Itaagie – Uganda, Kedumetse Liphi – Botswana, Joseph Owiredu – Ghana, Ajena Jafar – Uganda and Gerald Muema – Kenya qualified to proceed to the next level of adjudication. The shortlisted innovators will present their demo/ Minimum Viable Product at the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit scheduled for 28 to 31 May 2024 in Windhoek, Namibia.
Namibian innovators were also recognised and given the opportunity to compete amongst themselves. Sarome Natalia Nalooliwa Hamata, Sarah Anghuwo and Rosalia Laudika are the top 3 finalists for the 2024 and 6th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation challenge.
6TH EDITION & 2024 SUMMIT REGISTRATION

There are just a few weeks left to register for the Africa Youth In Tourism Innovation Summit, which will be held in Namibia from May 28th to May 31st, June 2024. Over 32 countries from Africa have already registered to participate and attend this year. The summit has previously attracted participants from all around Africa and the world, including ministers, tourism authorities, legislators, SMMES, start-ups, students, entrepreneurs, and government representatives.
