Diani’s Ukunda airfield set for runway refurbishment

(Posted 12th October 2022)

Between today, the 12th until at least the 25th of October 2022, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) will be rehabilitating the Ukunda Airstrip runway. However, Safarilink and other scheduled and charter airlines will continue to operate into Ukunda as per their normal scheduled services.

Payloads from Ukunda will be restricted however so passengers booked on flights to Nairobi should get in touch with their respective airlines to ensure updated information about their flight departure from Diani. In the case of Safarilink will any passengers affected by the payload restrictions be contacted directly.

Normal operations by all airlines serving Ukunda will resume as soon as renovations are completed.
