Two Embraer EMB-120ER Brasilia’s yesterday suffered accidents, thankfully with no lives lost, at the Kikoboka Airstrip near Mikumi National Park.
A Sindbard Air EMB 120, registered as 5H-FLM, MSN 120325, manufactured in 1996, with 34 passengers and crew on board, when trying to take off hit a building and suffered severe damage to the right wing and nose gear.
The second accident happened to a Unity Air Zanzibar EMB 120, registered at 5H-MJH, MSN 120358 when landing. According to reports were 33 passengers and crew on board this aircraft. Again, no casualties were reported from this accident.
