| Uganda has expanded its capacity to investigate wildlife crime with a specialised laboratory in Entebbe that uses DNA and other forensic techniques to identify seized animal products and provide evidence for prosecutions. The Uganda Wildlife Forensics and Timber Laboratory has handled cases involving elephant ivory, pangolin scales, bushmeat and other animal remains, helping investigators establish the species involved when physical identification is difficult. |
