East Africa helps boost Brussels Airlines passenger numbers

BRUSSELS AIRLINES SEES PASSENGER NUMBERS RISE BY 8 PERCENT IN JANUARY

African destinations, among them notably Entebbe, Kigali and Bujumbura, contributed with a 5.6 percent rise in passenger numbers for Brussels Airlines, while the airline’s overall number of travelers rose in January by 8 percent.The extensive European network of Brussels Airlines added 6.6 percent more passengers while North America, after the addition of Toronto 9 months ago, saw numbers swell by nearly 60 percent.
In real terms has the airline uplifted more than 38.000 additional passengers compared to January 2016 with more than 513.000 travelers boarding a Brussels Airlines flight.
In East Africa does the airline now serve Entebbe five times a week with an Airbus A330-200, while Kigali gets six flights a week, one of them continuing to Bujumbura.
