Embrace new technologies says HLS – and offers training how to do it

HLS SET TO LAUNCH 2015 TRAINING SERIES WITH WORKSHOP IN KAMPALA

(Posted 11th February 2015)

Training in e-solutions has gathered momentum across the Eastern African region last year and the trend continues in 2015, now that HLS, Hotel Link Solutions, has yesterday announced the date for their first Kampala workshop.

The half day seminar will take place on the 13th of March at the Holiday Express Hotel which is located in Kampala’s trade district along Luwum Street, clearly targeting managers and owners of smaller hotels in this part of town and introduce to them the concepts of e-marketing, the advantages of using e-solutions in running their businesses, acceptance of non-cash payments and even joining up with leading reservation providers to widen their reach. Said Mamerito Ssenfuma, the Commercial Director of HLS Uganda: ‘We will be hosting our first E-Marketing workshop in 2015. This is part of our extensive programme to reach out and connect with establishment owners and managers in Uganda, and to help them use the internet for online sales and to increase their revenues. Sure, we have extensive knowledge about the internet, but this means nothing if we don’t share this resource to help others to improve their performance and increase competitive in our tourism industry.

Our focus is on improving business outcomes for everyone. We know that what works for a large 4 or 5 star hotel in a competitive destination, will be quite different to what is needed for success running of a lodge or guesthouse in a quiet town. So we advise accordingly. HLS plans to host a series of training workshops about Internet Marketing for SMEs in the tourism industry, across the four regions that make up Uganda – Central, Western, Eastern and Northern. Dates and venues for the training workshops in other regions to be announced’.
