LONG OVERDUE RUNWAY REPAIRS PROMPT PARTIAL AIRPORT CLOSURE IN ENTEBBE

Information was received that from the 24th of October until at least the 27th of October will the main runway of Entebbe International Airport be closed between 06.00 hrs (a.m.) and 08.00 hrs (a.m.) to facilitate overdue runway repairs.
Subsequently have airlines, including RwandAir, announced operational delays of some of their flights affected by the runway closure, which also affects all other flights, inbound and outbound, during this time frame.
RwandAir took to the social media earlier in the afternoon to forewarn passengers about their arrival and departure times of flights WB 462 and WB 463, as information from the airport and owners / operators Uganda Civil Aviation Authority was largely lacking in the public domain.
