SIX FLIGHTS A DAY NOW CONNECT ADDIS ABABA WITH ENTEBBE

In 2013, when current country manager Abebe Angessa moved to Uganda, only two flights a day connected Uganda with Ethiopia.
Today, 6 years later, have the number of daily services risen to six overall.
Four of these flights are straight Addis Ababa – Entebbe – Addis Ababa services while the two additional flights route from Addis Ababa via Juba to Entebbe and from Addis Ababa via Entebbe to Goma in Eastern Congo.
Apart from the flight via Juba, which uses a Viking Q400, previously known as the Bombardier Q400, are all other flights operated by Boeing B737-800NG aircraft, configured in a two class cabin layout.
The early evening flight from Entebbe to Addis (ET335 ETD 18.45 hrs) which links Ugandan travelers to the overnight departures of services to Europe, America, the Middle and Far East, is often operated with a Boeing B787 Dreamliner, to cater for the additional passengers now opting to fly via Addis Ababa, where a brand new airport terminal has vastly improved the connection experience.
It is understood that there is also an additional weekly chartered flight for the United Nations which uses a Boeing B767-300 aircraft.
With over 50 destinations in Africa is Ethiopian Airlines, the erstwhile Pan African Airline, the prime choice to reach one’s destination. The same applies for intercontinental destinations the airline serves with state of the art Airbus A350XWB, Boeing B787 and Boeing B777 aircraft.
