SECOND BOEING B787-9 BOOSTS ETHIOPIAN FLEET

Fleet aircraft 95 arrived earlier this week in Addis Ababa when Ethiopian Airlines took delivery of the second Boeing B787-9, the larger variant of this state of the art aircraft family.
The first such aircraft ever to be delivered to an African airline joined ET’s fleet just four weeks ago as reported here at the time and has made its debut across airports in Africa and India. Kilimanjaro International outside Arusha was the first to receive the new bird, then followed by such destinations like Mombasa, Zanzibar, Abuja, Kinshasa but also Delhi and Dubai.

Ethiopian Airlines now operates 21 Boeing B787’s and was African launch customer when the aircraft entered service.
Ethiopian Airlines was just two weeks ago handed a four star certification by Skytrax, the world’s foremost aviation ranking and rating platform, and the arrival of more brand new aircraft will help to maintain and defend this notable accolade.
