Ethiopian’s latest new route now connects Addis with Sao Paulo

ETHIOPIAN NOW CONNECTS ADDIS NONSTOP TO SAO PAULO

Ethiopian Airlines has launched nonstop flights connecting Addis Ababa with Brazil’s second largest city of Sao Paulo. A Boeing B787 Dreamliner is used for the presently three flights a week and offers passengers from Ethiopian’s Africa, India and Asia network the fastest connection to Brazil’s most important manufacturing and industrial city.

The CEO of Ethiopian, Tewolde Gebremariam went on record about the new flights when he said in a media release: ‘We are very pleased to be able to enhance the quality of our product and improve our competitive edge. The non-stop flight secures increased connectivity and reduced transit time for our customers. The new non-stop Addis Ababa – Sao Paulo flights will provide efficient connections for customers from almost all of our destinations in the other four continents we serve’.

Ethiopian is currently implementing a 15-year strategic plan called Vision 2025 which projects that the airline becomes the leading aviation group in Africa with seven strategic business units: Ethiopian International Passenger Service; Ethiopian Regional Service; Ethiopian Cargo; Ethiopian MRO; Ethiopian Aviation Academy; Ethiopian In-flight Catering Service and Ethiopian Ground Service. Ethiopian is a multi-award winning, including SKYTRAX and Passenger Choice Awards in 2013 and has been registering an average growth of 25% per annum in the past seven years.
