| Farmers in Igembe North Constituency in Meru County, whose crops were destroyed by elephants, are calling on the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to fast-track compensation. Speaking to Citizen Digital, the farmers said that the relief food, recently distributed by the government, is insufficient compared to the harvest they lost. Each affected household received a bag of maize, a bag of beans and eight kilograms of porridge flour. |
