Fastjet confirms that two flights a week remain between JRO and NBO

FASTJET FINALLY SPEAKS OUT ON FLIGHTS BETWEEN KILIMANJARO AND NAIROBI

(Posted 17th February 2016)

Following media reports in several newspapers across the region, that Fastjet had dropped their flights between Kilimanjaro / Tanzania and Nairobi / Kenya has the airline finally gone on record that two flights a week will remain on the schedule.
Operating days, with immediate effect, will now be Friday and Sunday with the timings remaining unchanged.
The airline conceded that it was indeed low demand and uptake of seats on this route which led to the dropping of the Monday to Thursday and Saturday flights, even though Fastjet reiterated that a daily service could be restored if passenger demand would justify it.
In contrast has the daily flight from Dar es Salaam to Nairobi gained swift popularity among Tanzanian Fastjet fans but also among new customers from Kenya, taking advantage of the advance booking low fares.
Meanwhile has the Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority demanded that ticket prices advertised by any airline must be inclusive of all taxes and fees and not only show the fare.
