Fastjet Zimbabwe apologises for the inconvenience to its loyal customers and airline supporters for the recent changes to their flight schedules and delays that have affected travellers in the last 24 hours.

The airline reported multiple disruptions across its network due to inclement weather conditions experienced at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport, yesterday on Tuesday the 5th of December 2022, and aircraft requiring maintenance due to reported  technical faults.

To mitigate the impact of ongoing delays and in ensuring that the comfort of all customers was attended to, the airline cancelled some of the delayed flights opting to accommodate customers in hotels whilst subsequent travel plans were put in place.

Due to the flight disruptions from yesterday further unintended disruptions are anticipated today as the airline works towards recovering their schedule.

Airline spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana has today confirmed that “ The wellbeing  of our passengers and staff is always our top priority, at present all efforts are towards working diligently to ensure the safe and timeous recovery of our flight schedule. We are sincerely sorry for the unintended impact to our customers travel plans. Our Airport Customer Service Teams are working with the airlines department to minimise the inconvenience for all passengers.”

The airline is sorry for the disruption and uncertainty created amongst travellers, and remains committed to maintaining their flight services across their network.
