#Fastjet once again named as #Africa’s leading low cost airline

SIXTH CONSECUTIVE WORLD TRAVEL AWARD FOR FASTJET AS AFRICA’S BEST

Fastjet has been awardeD the World Travel Award as “Africa’s Leading Low-Cost Airline 2021” for the sixth consecutive year.

The results follow a year-long search for the world’s top travel, tourism and hospitality brands. Votes were cast by travel industry professionals and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in each category named as the winner.

World Travel Awards is a leading authority that recognises and rewards excellence in travel and tourism – and today they unveiled their Africa and Indian Ocean 2021 winners. The awards acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries and are recognised globally as a sign of industry excellence.

The multiple award-winning airline has recently introduced an additional (third) Embraer ERJ145 to their fleet and offers several service enhancements such as car hire through Avis, new payment options through partnerships with Chicken Inn, CBZ Bank and Stanbic Mobile Money and this week announced a new route for 2022, connecting Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe with Nelspruit’s Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, South Africa.

This route will commence service from 16th of March 2022 initially every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Effective July 2022 will the service be upscaled to daily flights between the two destinations.

The Victoria Falls – Kruger Mpumalanga route brings to three routes that Fastjet connects destination Victoria Falls with, after scheduled flights from Harare and Johannesburg.
