Ranked as one of Africa’s Top 10 Best Airlines for 2022 by Skytrax, Fastjet says it is committed to tourism development in Southern Africa.
In an interview during Sanganai/Hlanganai Tourism Expo, Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Mr Nunurai Ndawana said the recent Skytrax award reaffirms the airline’s commitment to the development of tourism.
The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is a leading platform that Fastjet uses to continue to engage with the tourism players in the development of the industry.
In support of tourism, they recently launched a four-times-a-week flight service from Victoria Falls to Maun in Botswana.
“We continue to strengthen Victoria Falls as a regional tourism hub and the introduction of this flight service connects two of Southern Africa’s most sought-after destinations, the Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta with reliable scheduled air service,” Mr Ndawana said.
Fastjet Zimbabwe Chief Commercial Officer, Vivian Ruwuya said: “In enabling the accelerated restart of tourism Fastjet continues to offer scheduled and reliable flights to Victoria Falls and Southern Africa’s popular tourism regional destinations such as Kruger, Mpumalanga, and Maun in Botswana. Currently, we are operating 3 daily flights between Johannesburg and Victoria Falls, thereby giving unprecedented value, choice, and flexibility.”
