FASTJET DECISION CHALLENGES OTHER AIRLINES TO ALSO EXTEND DATE RESTRICTIONS FROM END MARCH, END APRIL AND END MAY TO MID YEAR

Fastjet Zimbabwe has provided additional information about their change of booking policies, which had already been seen as a trail blazer for the industry.
Their latest change now reaches up to 30th of June, clearly seeing the writing on the wall that #COVID19 will take months rather than weeks to resolve and instead of giving changes in a piecemeal fashion, have now simply done the right thing and pushed the dates further ahead.
Given the ongoing developments regarding COVID-19, Fastjet acknowledges that customers may wish to amend their travel plans for a future date.
Effective today, 17 March 2020, Fastjet will extend unlimited booking changes, with no change fees applicable, to all customers that choose to delay their travel plans.
Unlimited changes will be permitted up to 24 hours before the scheduled flight departure. Airfare differences may apply, and no downgrading is permitted. Rebooking to an alternate travel date is permitted for any future travel date. This flexible change policy shall apply for the period 17 March to 30 June 2020. No refunds are permitted.
