A service vehicle at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport reportedly hit a Fastjet (Z) aircraft yesterday, prompting the cancellation of that flight destined for Harare.
The subsequent unavailability of an aircraft then also caused the flights from Harare to Victoria Falls and from Victoria Falls back to Harare to be cancelled.

It is understood that passengers on those flights have been rebooked on a flight leaving this morning but also have the option to cancel their journey without any financial penalties.
It is not known at this stage how substantial the damage caused by the collision was and when the aircraft, which subsequently underwent inspection, will return to service.
Flights for later today may subsequently also be rescheduled and passengers are advised to contact the airline to ascertain their departure times.
