The 27th edition of the Seychelles best known cultural feast, the Festival Kreol is now just 3 weeks away before it kicks off on the 26th of October. Other Creole islands like Mauritius, Rodrigues and La Reunion will be joined by newcomer Mexico, for the first time ever represented at the ‘Creole Village’ which will form the nerve centre of the 5 day long celebrations of Creole music, dance and art performances.

Support from not only the tourism sector but the entire business community and civil society at large has been unprecedented this year, a living testimony of how the creation of an annual calendar of events has helped the Seychelles Tourism Board to raise the profile of the key events, and the Festival Creole undoubtedly is one of those alongside the Carnival International de Victoria and SUBIOS.

Media representatives from the region, the African continent and beyond have again been invited to come to the archipelago and report with on site stories and impressions, fueling the never ending juggernaut STB has created in recent years to promote and showcase the islands way beyond the traditional sun, sand and sea image.
