Five years and counting as Segera remains Kenya’s top ranked safari property

SEGERA RETREAT’S JENS KOZANY LOOKS BACK AT FIVE YEARS IN KENYA

(Posted 19th April 2017)

The Segera Retreat’s General Manager Jens Kozany is today celebrating his 5 Year Anniversary at Segera – Congratulations Jens and to many more years to come!
Said Jens in a communication earlier this morning:
What an incredible time it has been… It feels like a lifetime ago that we sat down and planned what would become THE most special place for me, all of our guests, neighboring communities and spectacular wildlife. None could have been achieved without our team of staff, who over the years have become my family – the Segera Family‘.

Jens, a German national, arrived first in Africa in 2004 and after spending five years in the world-famous South African Winelands, he joined North Island in the Seychelles as Operations Manager. Here he became addicted to the concept of a remote existence – and the African sun among many other things to do with Africa no doubt!

According to his own admission he gets the most enjoyment from being able to connect experiences in the wild with a unique, exclusive lifestyle, matching the beauty of nature with fine wines and culinary delights, and some pampering in the spa. All in all, what he loves best is creating a superb guest experience far away from their homes with personalised attention to detail, luxury and attention to the fascinating cultures of the land.

And is that not the truth and nothing but, as this correspondent can attest to from experience.

Watch out for a full feature article on Segera coming up over the next week or two, narrating how when one has to languish in sheer luxury it can as well be at the Segera Retreat, as after all it is close enough to home, being one of if not THE top ranked 5 star property on Kenya’s safari circuit.
Hence look no further if you really seek that experience of a lifetime, hop on a plane to fly with Safarilink from Wilson to Nanyuki by scheduled flight and get picked up by the Retreat’s 4×4 or else charter directly into the Segera airstrip.
