#FlyDubai announces #Kinshasa flights

KINSHASA VIA #ENTEBBE THE LATEST FLYDUBAI DESTINATION

(Posted 15th February 2018)

FlyDubai, the second state owned carrier of the Emirate of Dubai, has just announced the addition of the Congolese capital Kinshasa to their network. From the 15th of April will the airline, using a two class Boeing B737-800NG for the service, fly daily via Uganda’s international airport of Entebbe. It is understood that the flight will be operated under an arrangement with Emirates, which will add its flight number to the FlyDubai service.
It could not be ascertained at this stage if the airline will have fifth freedom rights between Entebbe and Kinshasa, i.e. be able to board passengers from Uganda destined for the Congo DR.
The low cost carrier today offers increasingly good connectivity for connecting passengers to in particular Eastern Africa’s tourism destinations but has also captured a growing number of business travelers after launching a business class some years ago.
Offering connectivity to and from Eastern Europe, including Russia – though not yet flying into the heart of the European Union – has FlyDubai become a carrier of choice for many travelers wishing to cut down on ticket cost and spending their money in the destination.

In Africa does FlyDubai’s growing destination list currently include such key cities (in alphabetical order) like Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Asmara, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Juba, Khartoum, Port Sudan, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar, making Kinshasa the airline’s 13th destination.
