ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES ANNOUNCES FOURTH FREQUENCY TO MAHE

(Posted 27th July 2015)

Information emerged from Addis Ababa that Ethiopian Airlines will add a fourth weekly flight to the Seychelles, effective on the 16th of September. Using a Boeing B737-800NG on the route will this add yet more seats, a most welcome boost of capacity for the archipelago’s resorts and hotels.

The Seychelles is presently some 15 percent up in visitor numbers compared to last year, a sign of sustained and growing demand for vacations on these paradise islands. Focus on culture and a series of high profile festivals, including the upcoming 30th edition of the Festival Kreol in October and the renamed Seychelles Ocean Festival, formerly known as SUBIOS, have given tourism a boost, further aided by growing choices of accommodation ranging from 5 star luxury establishments to simple and affordable B&B’s, holiday villas and self-catering chalets.

Ethiopian is Africa’s most profitable airline with the widest network of destinations of any African carrier.
