Gulf Hotels Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Silva Gigiri Ltd to develop the USD 30 million Silva Gigiri Hotel & Residence in Nairobi, Kenya.
Located on United Nations Crescent in Gigiri, the upper-upscale development will combine hotel accommodation with branded residences, fine dining, wellness facilities, executive co-working spaces and a premium conference centre.
The project is expected to comprise approximately 250 units and is strategically positioned near the UN Office at Nairobi, embassies and international organizations, targeting diplomats, corporate executives, expatriates and international travellers.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2026, with a soft opening targeted for 2028. The development will also pursue LEED certification through eco-efficient construction and design practices.
The agreement represents Gulf Hotels Group’s second hotel management contract in East Africa and supports its 2026–2030 strategy to expand through third-party hotel management across Africa and the Indian Ocean.
