Two representatives of Akqua Sun traveled to Reunion Island with five travel agents from South India – Akshayaindia, Traveltours, Earthwalk, Travel Air Madras, Baywatchtravel – and a representative of the island’s home airline Air Austral , on the occasion of an education organized by the IRT and the incoming agency Mille Tours, exclusive partner of the tour operator on the island.

Akqua Sun already offers Indian Ocean destinations such as Mauritius, Sri Lanka and South Africa, Asia with Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Middle East with Dubai, Eastern Europe with Russia, and the United Kingdom, the United States and South America. The Indian tour operator had never before had the opportunity to visit the Reunion island. For Akqua Sun, which has been responding since 2013 to requests from Indian travelers wishing to reach the island of Reunion Island and whose sales to the intense island are increasing , this voyage of discovery was an opportunity to seize.

During four days, the group was able to discover the island side with a sunset cruise, to take in the Piton de la Fournaise and the Wild South with Kréolie 4×4 vehicles. They visited the circus of Cilaos to admire the panorama on but also stopped at the Mafate from Piton Maïdo and tasted the flavors of the Reunionese cuisine. The Indian travel professionals also visited the hotel establishments Akoya Hotel & Spa, Palm Hotel & Spa, Villa Delisle, Lux * Reunion island, Ermitage Boutik Hotel, the Reef and the Iloha Seaview Hotel.

Generally attracted by the destination Reunion did the Indian travel professionals particularly appreciate the Akoya Hotel & Spa hotel. The majority of the Indian clientele are reportedly vegetarian and it is therefore important for the restaurant owners in Reunion to vary the dishes composed of vegetables in order to offer to the Indian travelers more choices.
