The visitors were shown the natural attractions of the island during several guided tours into the rugged interior before sampling several of the island’s leading beach resorts.

Meanwhile has Reunion’s tourism chief Pascal Viroleau attended a key meeting in the Seychelles, which brought together representatives of the UNWTO and tourism ministers of the African Union discussing closer cooperation. Notably was Reunion’s decision for a Visa waiver for South African passport holders hailed as groundbreaking, a move which has since the introduction significantly improved arrival numbers from South Africa to Reunion.
