(Posted 24th January 2014)

Following hot on the heels of the French Food Festival at the Nairobi Serena Hotel will aficionados of good food have more reason to go out and indulge as the Nairobi Restaurant week will kick off on the 30th of January, then giving 8 days of culinary delight opportunities until the 06th of February, when the event closes. Over 50 restaurants from across the city have signed up for the food festival and set menus are available ranging from Kenya Shillings 1.250 to 1.750 per person. For this amount of money will a three course special menu be served, starter, main course and dessert and according to the information received options will be available to choose from to meet everyone’s culinary taste or respect dietary restrictions.

EatOutKenya’s Mikul Shah is one of the driving forces behind the Nairobi Restaurant Week and this inaugural event will surely grow from strength to strength, considering that ‘only’ just over 50 restaurants are participating this year out of several hundred which would no doubt qualify to be part of the event.

Some of Nairobi’s top names are part of the food week such as the Mandhari at the Nairobi Serena Hotel, the Lord Delamare at the Fairmont Norfolk, the Flame Tree at the Sarova Panafric, The Thai Chi at the Sarova Stanley, all of them highly acclaimed hotel restaurants but also popular eateries like the Haandi, La Dolce Vita or the Brew Bistro Fine Dining.
