Jambojet, a fully owned subsidiary company of Kenya Airways, has despite setbacks in the past kept regional expansion in their agenda.
Presently only serving Entebbe / Uganda with two flights a day – besides Jambojet’s domestic destinations within Kenya – has the airline two years ago been granted additional routes in their air service licence by the Kenyan CAA, permitting them – subject to landing rights in the respective destinations – to fly such additional regional routes like Juba, Goma, Bujumbura, Kigali and Dar es Salaam, among others.
Towards that end and as reported in November last year by ATCNews.org will an additional four Bombardier – now Viking – Q400 aircraft join their current fleet of five such aircraft before the end of the year.
Deliveries have been slotted for July, August, September and November 2019. Once delivery confirmation has been received from the manufacturer will ATCNews be the first to break the news.
