Kampaleans will be able to enjoy a traffic and exhaust gas free city centre this coming Sunday, 26th of March 2023 as the Kampala Capital City Authority is holding yet another car free Sunday.
Cars will have to be parked outside the closed perimeter, allowing people to roam the streets, enjoy a range of activities prepared and see the city centre from a different perspective, the middle of the road.
The first ever car free day in Kampala was held in 2011 and has since become an annual event, although during the past three years, due to the global COVID19 pandemic, this day was not celebrated due to health directives in place prohibiting major gatherings of people.
Kampaleans are invited to take advantage of the car free day and enjoy walking the city with their families and friends.
