Kenya Airways’ new CEO to take office in June

SEBASTIAN MIKOSZ APPOINTED NEW CEO OF KENYA AIRWAYS

(Posted 04th May 2017)

Kenya Airways has just confirmed that their new CEO, Mr. Sebastian Mikosz, will take office on the 01st of June, at which time present CEO Mr. Mbuvi Ngunze will officially step down from his position.
The search for a new CEO started in November last year and took longer than expected as Mr. Ngunze had intended to leave Kenya Airways by the end of Q1 of 2017 but agreed to stay on until his successor had been identified.
It was also confirmed that Mbuvi will stay on in an advisory capacity until at least the end of July this year to complete various debt restructuring initiatives still under negotiations with key financial partners.

Said the airline earlier today in a statement received:

It is a warm welcome to Sebastian Mikosz who is expected to perform a similar miracle as he did at LOT, the Polish national airline, to turn the ‘Pride of Africa‘ once again into the high flyer it once was.
