Kenya: New Wildlife and Marine Conservation series planned on Childrens TV

In the planned series will the producers travel across Kenya, with their main character puppet Matata.
He will be accompanied by human youth co-hosts as they visit organisations and individuals working with children in educational conservation projects.
Their aim is to ignite interest in the young as to the importance of not only conservation but sharing ecosystems with all living creatures by showing them work being done in local communities and what they can perhaps do in theirs.
Once the series has found some traction the producers hope to be able to travel outside of Kenya into the wider region – and beyond –  to document the work being done in other African countries.
The producers were lucky enough to win 1st Prize at last year’s Wildscreen Festival, which was held in Nairobi. They also have an interested local broadcaster on board which specialises in children’s content, Akili Kids.
