Kenya’s tourism industry hopes for good domestic sales at Sarit Centre Expo

SARIT CENTRE GETAWAY EXPO 2014 JUST DAYS AWAY

(Posted 21st March 2014)

Kenya’s main domestic tourism exhibition, the ‘Sarit Centre Getaway Expo’ is set to go underway on the 26th of March and will run until the 30th of March inclusive.

Kenya’s tourism industry will be making use of the opportunity to sell their services to the domestic audience, as the international tourism market remains soft and demand lower than hoped for.

Leading hospitality groups are all geared up to attend the show and many have prepared a basket of goodies for clients booking and paying on site at the exhibition hall, offering complimentary services like bush events when visiting the lodges, like bush breakfasts, lunches or dinners, while for the beach resorts guests often can expect a loaded fruit basket or even a bottle of wine, depending on the resort they choose to spend vacation time in. Discounts when using Spas go hand in hand with free airport transfers for guests to resorts like the Mombasa Serena when staying at least three nights, a bargain considering the quality of food and hospitality one can expect there.

Expected to exhibit for the first time is Jambojet, Kenya’s latest kid on the aviation block, and with fares from as low as Kenya Shillings 2.850 for instance from Nairobi to Mombasa, trips to the coast suddenly have become a lot more affordable for those wanting to fly instead of having to either drive, go by bus or pay the regular airfares other airlines charge. The same applies to Jambojet’s other destinations Eldoret and Kisumu, where hotels are now hastily packaging weekend trips for visitors from Nairobi using the new low cost airline, keen to explore Kenya’s city on Lake Victoria or the scenic highlands around Eldoret .

For wannabe travelers, the Sarit Centre Getaway Expo 2014 is the place to be to find the most affordable deals, perhaps win a raffle prize or just to ‘browse’ and see what Kenya has to offer in the parks and along the beaches.
