Kitui residents demand urgent government action over elephant and camel invasions

Residents of Kitui East, Mwingi Central and Mwingi North are calling for urgent government intervention following repeated invasions by elephants and camels. Farmers say elephants have destroyed crops for months, causing significant losses and posing a serious threat to school children and businesses. Nguni MCA Jermiah Mutua has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to remove the animals from the affected areas.
