Korongo Airlines set for daily flights between Lubumbashi and Kinshasa

KORONGO PUBLISHES NEW SUMMER SCHEDULE

(Posted 11th June 2014)

Congo’s Korongo Airlines, a partnership between Brussels Airlines and local financiers and Congo’s only airline meeting EASA safety standards, has announced that they will effective 15th June offer daily flights between their base Lubumbashi and the capital Kinshasa. Four of the flights will operate nonstop while three will route via Mbuji Mayi in both directions. Every Friday and Monday does the airline also operate a nonstop flight between Lubumbashi and Johannesburg, presently the airline’s only international route.

Korongo provides seamless connections to and from Lubumbashi for Brussels Airlines flights to Kinshasa on SN’s flights on Monday and Friday every week.

Korongo was recently in the news when they complied as the first and only airline with ICAO declaring Congo DR’s navigational facilities for domestic flights as in default of international standards and halted flights until RVA was able to find ways and means for safe operations to resume.
