| Three elephants linked to repeated cases of human-wildlife conflict in Kibwezi West, Makueni County, have been successfully translocated to Tsavo West National Park in a move aimed at reducing tensions between local communities and wildlife. The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), working in partnership with the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and local communities, carried out the operation after the elephants were identified as being at the centre of recurring crop destruction and safety concerns in Kamboo and surrounding areas. |
