LWF is searching for motivated individuals to fill the following internship positions:

1. Admin Intern – The successful candidate will learn all about the systems that support a membership organisation, and help with everything from the front-office to membership drives to client relations to file management, to basic personnel management, petty cash, and more.

The successful intern will have an outgoing personality, fluent in English and Kiswahili, and be conversant with computers and MicroSoft Office. Minimum duration of this internship is 3 months. Interested applicants must be competent in reading and written English, and should have a diploma or undergraduate degree.

2. Communications Intern – The successful candidate will assist the communications office with the organisation and management of our communications materials, including the cateloging of pictures, videos, soft-copies of printed communication materials, and more.

The successful intern will have an outgoing personality, attention to detail, and be computer literate. You will be a diploma holder and/or university graduate. High competency in reading and written English is a must.

This is a one month assignment with the possibility of extending for another two months. This decision will be based on work load, competency and performance.

3. MKEWP Assistant – The successful candidate will work with an active Mt Kenya Ewaso Water Partnership (MKEWP) technical team supporting their work with at least 4 donors, 3 County Governments, 20 Water Resource Users Associations, and more than 300 Community Water Projects.

The successful candidate will have a preliminary employment of 3 months, with the possibility of full-time employment. They will have a degree in water engineering or water conservation and management, or at least some prior experience in water programming. The successful candidate will be computer literate and demonstrate competency in MicroSoft Office. Additional knowledge in GIS, SPSS, IT , photography and journalism would be an added advantage. High competency in reading and written English is a must.

The successful candidate will have an engaging personality, ready to ask questions and to learn about the many challenges and opportunities in water conservation and management in the Upper Ewaso Ng’iro Basin. You should have a valid driving license for a vehicle and/or motorbike.
