| Residents of Mikinduni, Juhudi, and Salama villages in Lamu West constituency, Lamu County, are calling on the government, through the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), to intervene and help stop the destruction of their crops by elephants. The locals staged demonstrations and said they are suffering losses as their farm produce ends up destroyed with no compensation given to cushion them. And farmers from Kirweru village in Igembe North subcounty, Meru county, are counting losses after elephants invaded their farms and destroyed their food crops. |
