London becomes RwandAir’s second intercontinental destination

RWANDAIR CONFIRMS LONDON GATWICK LAUNCH DATE

Following the earlier announcement of flights from Kigali to Harare on the 01st of April and to Mumbai / India on the 03rd of April has RwandAir just confirmed that London Gatwick services will commence on the 26th of May.
London will be RwandAir’s second intercontinental destination after Mumbai and is testament to the airline’s expansion strategy now taking hold.

The Airbus A330’s cabin layout features a state of the art Business Class cabin, a separate cabin for the arguably best Premium Economy class in the African skies and a comfortable economy class, WiFi on board and a wide range of inflight entertainment options.
Now operating a fleet of 11 aircraft, all but two acquired brand new, is the airline in May also expecting a fourth Boeing B737-800NG, equipped with inflight WiFi connectivity and a two class cabin layout.
Also on the horizon for RwandAir are flights to Conakry and Lilongwe, among other destinations eyed by the Rwandan national airline, to improve intra African connections while also eying to launch flights to New York by the end of the year. All this is supporting the country’s ambition to become a top five MICE destination by next year and remain a leading tourism destination in Eastern Africa.
RwandAir holds the latest certification under IATA’s e-IOSA and ISAGO schemes and is also certified under EASA rules.
