KENYA AIRWAYS APPOINTS NEW COO AS ONE BOEING B787 IS NAMED ‘MAGICAL KENYA‘
(Posted 02nd July 2016)
The cooperation between the Kenya Tourism Board and national airline Kenya Airways has just gotten closer, putting more live into the MoU the two organizations signed a while ago about working hand in hand to promote the country.
Earlier in the week did Kenya’s Tourism Minister Najib Balala, the CEO of Kenya Airways Mbuvi Ngunze, the CEO of the Kenya Tourism Board Mrs. Jacinta Nzioka and other officials witness the naming of one of the airline’s Boeing B787 Dreamliners as ‘Magical Kenya‘ carrying the brand name of Kenya Tourism across the world.
The aircraft later that day then took off via Bangkok to Hong Kong and will now advertise the brand on all her journeys.
Meanwhile has the airline recruited a new Chief Operating Officer, the position Mbuvi Ngunze incidentally held before he was appointed CEO.
Dutch national Jan de Vegt will take over from Yves Guibert who will leave the airline at the end of this month. While coming from Cobalt Ground Solutions where he worked as Managing Director does Jan have extensive airline experience when he was at KLM and Martinair.
From this correspondent it is a warm good bye to Yves and an equally warm welcome to Jan and success in the years ahead!
