MALAWI AIRLINES SET FOR DAR ES SALAAM FLIGHTS

Malawi Airlines, a partnership between the Malawian government and Ethiopian Airlines, has just announced plans to launch flights to Tanzania’s commercial capital of Dar es Salaam, effective 15th of July.
The flight will originate in Blantyre and route via Lilongwe before flying on to Dar es Salaam from where it is then commencing the return journey with the reverse routing DAR LLW BLZ using a B737-700 for the service.
Dar es Salaam is the second route into East Africa the airline is launching after already serving Nairobi / Kenya for some time now. Other continental routes served are Harare, Lusaka and Johannesburg
The airline, one of the most punctual in Africa, in May accomplished a 97.88 percent on time departure record and in April this year this figure was 98.90 percent, almost unprecedented on the continent.
Malawi Airlines presently operates a Boeing B737-700NG and a Bombardier Q400, both aircraft with a dual cabin layout of Business and Economy.
