he official Media Launch for the 5th Uganda–Kenya Coast Tourism & Innovation Summit will took place earlier today at Wapa Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kampala.

This landmark initiative, driven by the Uganda Consulate General in Mombasa and key regional stakeholders, marks a major milestone in strengthening East African economic and commercial diplomacy. By combining Uganda’s lush wildlife safaris and primate experiences with Kenya’s pristine coastal beaches and marine tourism, we are positioning East Africa as a seamless, single destination.

Under this year’s theme, “Unlocking Tourism Opportunities: Resolving Policy Bottlenecks Through Technology, Youth, and Seamless Mobility Across East Africa,” the summit moves beyond casual networking. It serves as a highly structured business-to-business platform focused on actionable trade distribution, regional infrastructure investment, and cross-border tech innovations.

This year heavily highlights youth-led tech and digital branding. From revolutionary travel apps like “Roam Uganda” to regional start-ups, young minds are taking center stage to reshape how the world travels.

The main summit will take place on 26th–27th of October 2026 at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa, Mombasa.
