DIASPORA UGANDANS MEET IN KAMPALA TO GET CRUCIAL INFORMATION ABOUT REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES

The Office of the President in Uganda is closely involved in organizing a conference for Ugandans in the diaspora, presently at home for the festive season and the full day conference will be taking place at Mestil Hotel and Residences in Nsambya / Kampala.
The full day meeting, from 09.00 hrs (a.m.) to 17.00 hrs (p.m.), tomorrow, 28th of December, will allow Ugandans living abroad and only being here for a short period of time to meet a number of service providers including the Uganda Tourism Board, but also NSSF, NIRA, short for the National Identification and Registration Authority – a key office to obtain birth certificates and attain dual nationality or national ID cards – but also private sector organizations like Face Technologies, where Ugandan drivers licences are issued.
Post Bank, Finance Trust Bank and DFCU Bank too will be presented at the venue to assist Ugandans living abroad with questions about transfers of funds and Bank of Uganda too will be available.
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau will be on site with staff as will be National Housing, answering questions about investments in the real estate sector.
The Insurance Regulatory Authority and Uganda Revenue Authority too will assist to answer questions and clarify on procedures.
Local Ugandans too are welcome as they are also able to benefit from the meeting.
