More changes at KAA while new CEO is yet to report for duty

MORE BITE THE DUST AT KAA AS KANGUGO EXITS UNCEREMONIOUSLY ALONGSIDE SENIOR COLLEAGUES

(Posted 27th September 2016)

News emerging from Nairobi suggest that current Acting CEO Yatich Kangugo was relieved of his duties alongside Acting General Manager Marketing William Simba and one of the organization’s legal counsels for reasons not disclosed.
Kangugo was reportedly served with a letter from the recently installed Chairman of the KAA Board, General (Rtd) Julius Karangi.
This latest removal of senior management is one in a long line of such casualties which last year at the end of June also claimed the head of Lucy Mbugua.
Soon after Karangi’s appointment did the board decide to offer the job to one Johnny Andersen, as was reported here at the time, but it appears that he has yet to report for duty in Nairobi, a delay of now over 2 months since the decision was made public.

Meanwhile, apparently to hold fort until the new CEO flies in, has a Ministry of Transport official, Mr. Nicholas Bodo, been appointed as Acting CEO, leaving both staff and clients of KAA somewhat puzzled over the immediate way forward and prompting speculation when or perhaps if Mr. Andersen will take up his position.
