More flight options to Dubai by Qatar Airways

QATAR AIRWAYS UPS DUBAI FLIGHTS AS DEMAND RISES

(Posted 26th August 2014)

Many regular travelers from East Africa have become quite savvy when it comes to finding the lowest airfares and best deals on the market. Qatar Airways, which flies once a day to Entebbe and Kigali and multiple times a day to Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, has surely made inroads when it comes to uplifting traffic from these airports and with final destination Dubai. Carriers flying nonstop often charge a premium while others, perhaps with even lower fares, regularly disappoint in terms of inflight service, ground handling by often grumpy staff and, once the ticket is sold and paid for, a lack of ongoing customer care.

Qatar’s teams across East Africa have mastered those skills however and the addition of two more flights from Doha’s sparkling new mega airport Hamad International to Dubai is evidence enough of sustained demand for seats on the route. QR, from late October onwards, will add a 14th daily flight to Dubai International and a fourth daily flight to Dubai World Central, making it 18 overall and literally now offering hourly departures like in a shuttle.

Service on the short flight is however what passengers have come to expect from Qatar Airways, only one of a handful of 5 star airlines according to Skytrax and the use of the airline’s lounges at their main hub in Doha may yet tempt passengers to stay on and enjoy the luxury on the ground and opt for the next flight.
