New lounge at Brussels Airport makes premium travel yet more comfortable

With now five flights a week between Brussels and Entebbe, and Kigali for that matter, has Brussels Airlines become the airline of choice for many travelers from Uganda to not just Belgium, but to the UK – after the inexplicable and sudden withdrawal of British Airways flights last year – to North America, to the European Schengen Zone and beyond.
At the Africa Terminal A [which turns into a dedicated Schengen Terminal after the last flight to Africa has departed} does a premium lounge provide comfortable surroundings for business class passengers while in the central part of Terminal A, before passport control, over the past nearly two years is ‘The Loft‘ the place to be while waiting for connecting flights.
Now however has Brussels Airlines opened another premium lounge in Terminal B, aptly named ‘The Suite‘ which serves passengers traveling in business class to New York, Washington, Montreal but also to the non Schengen destinations like Moscow, Tel Aviv, Morocco and notably all the UK destinations. Access to this and other Brussels Airlines lounges is also possible for passengers traveling with Star Alliance partner airlines and holders of frequent traveler cards which entitle the holder to free lounge access, though of course not all frequent flyer cards do that.
This added lounge has over the past few weeks drawn lots of positive comments from travelers out of East Africa, who connect in Brussels to their final destination.
Meanwhile closer to home has Brussels Airlines been nominated for Best Travel Company in the upcoming Uganda Digital Impact Awards, which measure the reach and market reaction of e-based commerce solutions, acceptance, rating and ranking of websites and how easy transactions are for clients.
This event will take place on the 17th of August at the Kampala Serena Hotel & Conference Centre and the outcome will be reported here the day after the winners have been announced.
