New UTB CEO to begin work in March

LILLY AJAROVA BIDS HER FAREWELL TO THE #UGANDA #CHIMPANZEETRUST

(Posted 15th February 2019)

The new CEO designate for the Uganda Tourism Board, Ms. Lilly Ajarova, yesterday officially bid her farewell to her colleagues, staff and the supporters of the Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Conservation Trust ahead of her taking over at the Uganda Tourism Board.

Wrote Lilly to ATCNews:

I am writing to let you know that 4th of March, 2019 will be my last day as the Executive Director of Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust. I have accepted the Chief Executive Officer position at Uganda Tourism Board because it allows me to be of great service to my country. As I take this new direction, I hold dear all the great memories built throughout the years.

Please accept my deepest gratitude and love for all you have done for me during my tenure with Chimpanzee Trust. I take with me invaluable lessons and memories both at a professional and personal level. Although I am leaving my official post, I certainly remain a family to the organization, a super supporter, and my love for the chimps will always remain unconditional.

I will forever hold dear the last 14 years!

Needless to say will ATCNews.org continue to support the Chimpanzee Trust as it has done since its inception, again taking the opportunity to thank the trust for the media award announced during the 20th anniversary celebrations last year.

ATCNews also wishes Lilly, as done when the initial announcement was made here a few weeks ago about her appointment, the very best in her new position as she and her new team will set out to give Uganda Tourism a much needed directional change and inject a new professional vision into the organization, something which has sadly been lacking for many years.
