News from the Kingdom of Swaziland

Swaziland will this year make an appearance at the upcoming Seychelles’ Carnival which starts this weekend and runs from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th of April. A large delegation is expected on the island of Mahe for the event, coming all the way from the Kingdom.Meanwhile though has Swaziland made ripples at the just ended World Travel Market Africa in Cape Town as is narrated below.

Swaziland Tourism Authority a hit at World
Travel Market Africa 2015

The Swaziland Tourism Authority (STA) participated in the annual
World Travel Market (WTM) Africa exhibition, which took place from
15th to 17th of April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre
(CTICC), once again showcasing how, as a destination, the Kingdom
is soaring in the South African market with its unique tourism offerings.

With over 20 meetings with travel professionals and media from all
over the world, , the STA had the opportunity to engage with visitors
on a one-to-one basis, gathering the necessary information to assist
the industry in not only raising the profile of the destination but also
increasing the visitor arrivals to the Kingdom.

World Travel Market Africa 2015 was a huge success for us and our
stand partners, we were promoting the Kingdom of Swaziland together.
It is encouraging to see the interest grow year-on-year, and we look
forward to being part of this prestigious event again next year”,
commented Bongani Dlamini – Marketing Manager of STA.

Addressing attendees at the WTM® Africa press conference on
Thursday 16th of April, the STA highlighted its key pillars around which
marketing efforts will be a core focus for the South African market
including, Adventure, Wildlife, Natural beauty and Culture & Heritage.
Further discussions included the opening of the International Airport
last year – King Mswati III as well as the opening of a new convention
centre with the capacity to host 2000 delegates, accommodation
grading and Swaziland’s success story in conservation and their
Rhinos.

The next World Travel Market (WTM) Africa 2016 will take place
between 06th to 08th of April next year.
