News update – Air Seychelles staff excel in studies, get Presidential recognition

AIR SEYCHELLES PRASLIN STATION MANAGER GETS PRESIDENTIAL RECOGNITION

Last week’s graduation ceremony of the Seychelles Institute of Management saw two staff of Air Seychelles – attending courses to advance their academic credentials and pave the way for career advances – excel at the very highest level. The airline’s station manager in Praslin Norbert Lepathy in fact received two awards, one as best performer in his chosen course of Logistics and Transport and the other notably from President Michel who bestowed the ‘President’s Award’ on him.

The other Air Seychelles staff was Manuela Amesbury, a flight attendant, who graduated from her course in Human Resource Management, again honoured for outstanding ‘best’ performance.

Besides President Michel, Vice President Danny Faure and several government ministers was the top brass of Air Seychelles in attendance, led by Executive Chairman Capt. David Savy who expressed his absolute delight with the success of his staff at the SIM. It is understood that Air Seychelles are actively encouraging their staff to attend advanced courses and acquire added and new skills, which help them to advance from their positions into areas of greater responsibility. Three other ‘HM’ staff too graduated on the day, namely the airline’s administration manager, their passengers services supervisor and a passenger services agent after completing their studies in general management.

‘Flying the Creole Spirit’ just got a real capacity boost it seems.
