When an elephant died (of natural causes) in the Ewaso Nyiro River, it became a battleground between two top predators: the Ewaso lions and the crocodiles. Samburu Women Continue Clean-Up Campaign
Our Mama Simba program continues to engage, educate, and empower women through conservation. They organized a second litter clean-up campaign, removing over 2,000 pieces of trash from the village and surroundings. In exchange, we provided the women with 54 reusable shopping bags.

Celebrating World Lion Day
August 10th marked the second World Lion Day. To celebrate, we hosted a gathering in Westgate Conservancy with Samburu warriors, elders, and women. We discussed lions, the importance of conservation, gave presentations on our community programs, played games, and much more.
