SAF Registry Newsletter

One year after its launch, the CADO SAF Registry continues to build momentum. We are pleased to share recent progress, key updates from our latest release, and upcoming engagement opportunities.

The Registry now supports nearly 140 active organizations and facilitates a growing number of SAF transactions. We are encouraged by this steady upward trend, which reflects the trust our users place in the system and the value they see in it as a practical tool to support their decarbonization efforts. Read the story of the first year here.

Platform Update

A new system release has been rolled out, featuring a range of improvements and exciting new features.

These enhancements were developed based on users’ feedback and are designed to reflect SAF market developments and improve overall user experience and flexibility.

What’s New?

  • Bulk SAF Registration: Fuel Producers, Fuel Suppliers and Aircraft Operators can now register up to 200 SAF batches at once using the bulk registration functionality. This feature streamlines the registration process by allowing eligible users to upload multiple SAF batches via a dedicated CSV template, provided within a ZIP folder alongside the relevant supporting documentation.
  • Bulk Redemption: Aircraft Operators can now select, prioritize, and redeem multiple SAF batches for one recipient in a single transaction. This enhancement builds on the existing single?batch redemption functionality, addressing the need for a more efficient way to perform multi-batch redemptions.
  • User Dashboard: A new interactive dashboard provides users with an at-a-glance view of their SFUs’ current status. It offers a real-time summary of the Inventory, enabling users to easily monitor SAF activity through a series of charts and widgets.
  • Data sharing with States (enhanced): Building on the previous release, Aircraft Operators may opt in to share information with any ICAO Member State, rather than only their CORSIA administering State, for chosen redemption years and regulatory schemes. In addition, State users can now also invite Aircraft Operators to share data with them.
  • Email notifications: More detailed email notifications now help users remain informed about key changes and activities in the Registry.

ISO 27001 Certification

We’re happy to share that the CADO SAF Registry is now ISO 27001-certified. ISO 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for information security management. Our security governance and controls ensure that our stakeholders’ information is securely stored and managed within the system. Achieving this certification demonstrates the robustness of the Registry and its data protection framework, both of which are of the utmost importance to CADO.

Upcoming Engagements

To present these updates and demonstrate the new functionalities, the CADO team is hosting an in-person workshop in conjunction with the IATA Aviation Energy Forum in Paris, and two live webinars.
